The Domestic & General group are committed to effectively managing the engagement of third-party suppliers to deliver business requirements efficiently. Central to this are three groups: the procurement team, our business customers, and our suppliers and partners.

Our procurement team has a streamlined process which enables seamless collaboration with our business customers. In order to continue and extend this collaboration, we want innovative and cost-effective solutions from our suppliers and partners.

Our core procurement principles

We strive to deliver sustainable solutions and value for money for both customers and suppliers, whilst ensuring full compliance with legislation such as the Modern Slavery Act. By managing adherence and providing the appropriate governance, we aim to minimise risk and provide clarity in all of our initiatives.

Alongside this, we aim to drive continuous improvement in our processes, solutions, and business relationships.

What we expect from our suppliers

We expect fairness, transparency, and professionalism from all of our suppliers. We trust our suppliers to support Domestic & General procurement to deliver our core principles, and to treat customers of Domestic & General fairly whenever interaction occurs.

Our suppliers are expected to maintain effective policies and procedures to manage day-to-day business activities, and to anticipate changes that may affect these processes. Compliance with our standards and requirements is vital, particularly in the areas of Data Protection, Information Security, and Business Continuity.

Suppliers must comply with relevant laws and regulations, including the Modern Slavery Act and GDPR, wherever appropriate. It is expected that any conflict of interest is disclosed as early as possible and that suppliers invoice Domestic & General in the manner and frequency that we advise.

Adherence to the above expectations will ensure a streamlined, cordial, and ultimately successful relationship between suppliers and Domestic & General.
