18 March - Domestic & General Takes Calls for Comic Relief

NOTTS-based call centre of Domestic & General (D&G) is celebrating taking part in this year’s Comic Relief after raising an incredible £927.00.

Domestic & General raised the money by holding a quiz, a dress down day, and taking part in a larger-than-life Scalextric challenge.  

As well as fundraising, over 150 volunteers took donation pledges on the night from 7pm until midnight at the Talbot Street call centre. Volunteers included employees, their friends and their family members.

Stuart Falconer, a volunteer and Domestic & General employee who took calls on the night said: “There was such a great atmosphere in the contact centre when we were taking calls. We all know it’s for such a great cause and that even small donations all add up to make a difference to projects in the UK and Africa.”

Deborah Martin, site operations manager said: “We’re absolutely delighted with what we’ve achieved for Comic Relief. We took over 3700 calls from the public making donations on the night. We’re really proud of our employees who donated their time and energy to take calls and I’d like to thank everyone involved.”
