20 July 2012 - Domestic & General Secures Contract Extension with Electrolux

Domestic & General is delighted to announce that it has signed a new contract extension with Electrolux to provide warranty services across the UK and Ireland.

Electrolux is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of household appliances, selling 40 million appliances worldwide every year. Their range of innovative products include refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, cookers and air-conditioners, all sold in the UK under their Electrolux, AEG and Zanussi brands.

Electrolux first teamed up with Domestic & General in 1979, and over the past 33 years it has seen significant growth in their warranty business. The new five year agreement, which runs to 2017, will see Domestic & General administer and manage Electrolux’s warranty proposition. The aim will be to build on Electrolux’s deserved reputation for quality and service, by driving product registration and warranty take-up, developing innovative marketing initiatives and a dedicated support from UK-based call centres.

Together with the recent signing of contracts with Indesit Company, Glen Dimplex Home Appliances and Whirlpool, this partnership confirms Domestic & General’s position as the leading provider of warranty services in the UK white goods sector.

Ken Wilson, Managing Director at Domestic & General said, “We have enjoyed considerable success with Electrolux over many years, and are delighted that they have decided to continue working with us. We have always sought to ensure that customers receive the highest possible levels of care, and are confident that these new agreements will enable us to further enhance their outstanding customer service.”
