  • You can get a quote online by telling us about your boiler here.
  • For central heating systems, you can get a 12-month protection plan and then renew it annually. There’s no age limit on renewals.
  • No, we don't. Your boiler protection will start 30 days after receipt of your application. However, your boiler must be in good working condition when you apply or your plan might be invalidated.
  • You can take out a plan for a combination or condensing boiler if it's under 8-years-old.

    Conventional boilers must be under 15-years-old.

    After you’ve taken out a plan on your boiler, there’s no age limit on renewals.
  • If you have a hot water tank or an airing cupboard, you have a conventional boiler. If not, you have a combination boiler.
  • Unfortunately, you can’t get a protection plan for an oil boiler.
  • 1. Call us on 0800 597 8600*. When you call, please have your plan number and a pen to hand.

    2.  If a repair is approved, you'll get a contact number for an authorised boiler engineer in your area and a referral number.

    3.  Call the repairer, quote your referral number, and arrange for them to come at a time that suits you.

    We'll usually take care of any costs (up to £1,500 a year) directly with the repairer, so you won't even see a bill.

  • We’ll cover the cost of approved repairs, or give you a contribution towards a replacement boiler, up to the value of £750 or £1,500 a year, depending on the plan you choose.

    If a repair is estimated to cost more than £150, the engineer will call us before going ahead with the work.
  • No, you can request as many repairs as you need while your plan is valid.
  • Only if we advise you to. The work of our engineers is monitored and guaranteed, and we ensure they carry public liability insurance. That’s why we prefer all repairs to be carried out by our approved engineers.
  • Annual boiler services are usually done in the spring or summer months. If you have an annual boiler service included in your protection plan, call us on 0800 597 8600 to arrange it. Calls may be recorded and monitored for quality and training purposes.
  • Don't turn on any lights or electrical equipment, as they generate a spark. Open all doors and windows in your house. Go outside and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. They will send an engineer to make your boiler safe. You can then contact us for an engineer to come and repair your boiler.
